This picture ππ ±π is of the ushabti box (and one of the ushabti π ±πππππΎ figures) of a man πππ€ named Yuya ππ ±ππΏπΌ. The purpose of the ushabit box was to store the ushabti π ±πππππΎ figures of the deceased π ππ± person. Since people who could afford it were buried with over 365 ushabti π ±πππππΎ figures, the Egyptians πππππͺ needed a place to store them in the tombs ππ«πππ¦ so the ushabtis π ±πππππΎ wouldn’t be all over the place!
Although Yuya ππ ±ππΏπΌ and his wife πππ Thuya πΏπ ±ππ ± were not of royal lineage, their daughter π π Tiye ππππ became the βKingβs Great Wife πππ,β (queen) of the pharaoh ππ» Amenhotep III π³π§π .Β

Due to their daughterβs π π status, Yuya ππ ±ππΏπΌ and Thuya πΏπ ±ππ ± were given an elaborate burial in the area that is now known as the Valley of the Kings (KV46).
