This mounted steatite ๐ ฎ๐๐๐๐ scarab ๐๐ช๐๐๐ฃ ring ๐๐๐๐ช inscribed with the throne name cartouche ๐ ๐๐๐ท of the pharaoh ๐๐ป Thutmosis III ๐ณ๐ ๐ฃ is a stunning example of the scarabs ๐๐ช๐๐๐ฃ๐ช that were made during this time period. Some Egyptologists state that the scarabs ๐๐ช๐๐๐ฃ๐ช made during the Hatshepsut ๐ณ๐ฆ๐/Thutmosis III ๐ณ๐ ๐ฃ era were some of the finest ever made, and I happen to agree!ย

The name ๐๐ Menkhepperra ๐ณ๐ ๐ฃ translates to โLasting is the Manifestation of Ra.โ This cartouche ๐ ๐๐๐ท appears twice on the scarab ๐๐ช๐๐๐ฃ!

The word โEternity ๐โ also appears on the Scarab ๐๐ช๐๐๐ฃ.
In the middle of the scarab ๐๐ช๐๐๐ฃ there is also the โGold Falcon/Gold Horus ๐ โ symbol which shows a falcon ๐ standing on the hieroglyphic symbol for โgold ๐.โ Usually the Gold Falcon ๐ is one of the five names of the pharaoh ๐๐ป and is the third part of the royal titularly. Thutmosis IIIโs Gold Falcon name is โ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ ฑ๐๐ฆ Djoser Khauโ which translates to โSacred of Appearances.โ Obviously this full name does not appear on the Scarab ๐๐ช๐๐๐ฃ, but the Gold Falcon ๐ symbolizes kingship ๐๐.
