Best Books for Learning to Read Hieroglyphs:
Egyptian Hieroglyphs for Complete Beginners by Bill Manley (this is the book I recommend everyone starts with)
How to Read Egyptian Hieroglyphs by Mark Collier and Bill Manley (start this one after you finish the previous one)
Middle Egyptian: An Introduction to the Language and Culture of Hieroglyphs by James Allen (this is a wonderful and massive book that is very grammar heavy – I recommend this one after finishing the other two)
The Egyptian Book of the Dead: The Papyrus of Ani in the British Museum by E.A.Wallis Budge (this is the book I learned to read hieroglyphs from – the best way to learn is to read real texts)
Understanding Hieroglyphic Inscriptions: An Introductory Course to the Ancient Egyptian Language by Bill Petty (while not as comprehensive or as organized as the books above, it still provides valuable insights and information)
Best Hieroglyphic Dictionaries:
English to Middle Egyptian Dictionary: A Reverse Hieroglyphic Vocabulary by Bill Petty (this is a great introductory and starter dictionary with some of the most common words)
Hieroglyphic Dictionary: A Vocabulary of the Middle Egyptian Language by Bill Petty
Hieroglyphic Sign List & Vocabulary by Bernard Paul Badham (this one is small and not as comprehensive as the previous two, but it is still a nice addition to my library)
An Egyptian Hieroglyphic Dictionary, Volume 1 by E.A.Wallis Budge (This and Volume 2 were my first hieroglyphic dictionaries. They are massive and very comprehensive)

Chronicle of The Pharaohs by Peter Clayton (one of my first books and it still one of my favorites to this day)
The Rise and Fall of Ancient Egypt by Toby Wilkinson (the most comprehensive history book on the entirety of the ancient Egyptian civilization)
Best Mythology Books:
Complete Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt by Richard H. Wilkinson (this is an encyclopedia of the Egyptian pantheon with beautiful descriptions and pictures)
The Egyptian Book of the Dead: The Book of Going Forth by DayThe Complete Papyrus of Ani translated by Dr. Raymond Faulkner and Ogden Goelet
Other Books:
Scanning the Pharaohs: CT Imaging of the New Kingdom Royal Mummies by Zahi Hawass and Sahar Saleem (if you like science and archaeology, this is the perfect book)
Pocket Museum: Ancient Egypt by Campbell Price (this is a fun look at some of the most famous and beautiful pieces of ancient Egyptian art)
ESV Archaeology Study Bible (not necessarily only about ancient Egypt, but this Bible has archaeological evidence for scripture, a lot of which is from Egypt)
For Kids:
A Child’s Introduction to Egyptology by Heather Alexander
Eyewitness Ancient Egypt by DK (I had the older edition as a kid and it was my favorite)
Fun with Hieroglyphs from the Metropolitan Museum of Art (I had these as a kid and absolutely loved them)
Learn Egyptian Hieroglyphs, Tracing Book (this is a lot of fun for kids and adults who love to draw)
