This is the sandstone ππ ±π§πππ head πΆπ€ of an 18th Dynasty (c. 1539-1493 B.C.E.) pharaoh ππ», but it is not known which pharaoh ππ» the statue πππππΎ is supposed to be depicting! The pharaoh ππ» is wearing the White Crown π€π of Upper Egypt π and the uraeus πππππ has been broken off of the front of the crown π€π.
It is thought that the statue πππππΎ is from one of the earlier 18th Dynasty pharaohs ππ»π¦ for a couple of reasons. The statue πππππΎ very much mimics Middle Kingdom styles by having the pharaoh ππ» slightly smiling and also having the other facial features simplified (ears are not three dimensional, eyes πΉπ¦ are large). It is thought that the statue πππππΎ is either of Ahmose πΊπ or Amenhotep I ππ ππ΅ππͺ because they were pharaohs ππ»π¦ who tended to imitate Middle Kingdom styles.
