This (left) mummiform coffin π ±ππΎ belonged to a singer named ππ Harmose who lived during the joint rule of Hatshepsut ππ ππΉππππΌπͺ and Thutmosis III π³π π£(New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, c. 1479β1458 B.C.E.). While Harmose was not royal, this coffin π ±ππΎ is still quite striking. The face is overlaid with gold ππππ foil while the eyes πΉππ¦ are made out of inlaid alabaster (white πππ³) and obsidian (black ππ ). The coffin π ±ππΎ was found in the vicinity of Senemutβs π’ππ πΌ tomb ππ«ππ during excavations funded by the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the 1935-1936 dig season.
