Did you know that the first mention of any βTree of Life πππ§πβ is actually from ancient Egypt ππ ππ?! The βTree of Life πππ§πβ appears in some versions of the creation myth and grew out of the primordial mound!Β
I am going to be doing an βAncient Egypt in Disneyβ series where I show you all the cool ancient Egyptian themed things you can see in Disney World! I hope you all will follow along with me!Β

Disneyβs Animal Kingdom is an incredibly beautiful π€ππ park and I love it there – the atmosphere and theming is incredible! The symbol for the park is the Tree of Life πππ§π and I think all of the different animals carved into the wood π±ππΊ on the trunk of the tree ππ π is so cool!
In ancient Egypt ππ ππ, due to the climate, trees ππ ππͺ were a rare commodity! Certain trees ππ ππͺ were also associated with different deities! There are many tomb paintings where the goddesses πΉπΉπΉπ Hathor π‘ or Nut πππ―π are shown emerging from trees ππ ππͺ to give the deceased food π¬ππ ±ππ₯ and water π.
The Sycamore Tree ππππ and the Acacia Tree ππππ are the two trees ππ ππͺ that pop up the most in Egyptian mythology. The Sycamore Tree ππππ is usually associated with the goddess πΉπ Hathor π‘ and she even has the title βLady of the Sycamore,β however, Nut πππ―π and Isis π¨ππ will sometimes have that title too!
Raβs solar barge π§πͺππ was said to be made of wood π±ππΊ from the Acacia Tree ππππ, and two Acacia Trees πππππͺ could also serve as a gateway to the Netherworld which is why they are a symbol of life πΉ and rebirth ππΏπ ±! The ancient Egyptians also considered the Acacia Tree ππππ to be very old because thereβs a line from the Book of the Dead ππππ»π πππ²π³πΊπΌπΊ that refers to a βtime before the Acacia Tree.βΒ
